The OPTM X fairway model delivers the perfect blend of speed and forgiveness in a traditional shape that inspires confidence and provides more forgiveness from the tee and from the fairway. The OPTM X fairway features an advanced descending weight system with 2 adjustable weights (11g, 3g). The 11g weight can be positioned in the back to promote higher launch and more forgiveness, or in the toe for lower launch with reduced spin for a penetrating ball flight.
Cobra's new fairwaywood-family, OPTM, is available in four different heads to suit all types of golfers. LS for those who swing fast and need low spin to maximise their distance. X for those who want the perfect blend of speed and forgiveness, and who want to be able to adjust how much the ball spins. MAX for those who want a draw-biased club that counteracts slice and helps increase ball flight. The MAX model is also available in "Women's".
Unlike MOI (moment of inertia), which measures how resistant a clubhead is to twisting on off-center hits along the vertical and hori-zontal axes, POI measures how a clubhead rotates diagonally across all axes at once. For that reason, a high MOI is desired to correct off-center hits, while a low POI is desired to deliver more accurate shots that create less gear effect. The result is tighter downrange dispersion.
