McLaren Series 1 is a modern Tour blade built for players who demand control, workability and pure feedback. Designed with the clean lines and compact shaping expected from a traditional muscle-back, Series 1 delivers the precise look better players love — but with advanced engineering hidden beneath the surface. Engineered through Metal Injection Molding, Series 1 allows McLaren to create precise internal weighting, advanced material composition and a structural design that traditional forging cannot achieve. The result is a blade that keeps the feel, feedback and shot-making control elite players expect, while adding a level of stability and forgiveness rarely found in this category.
With McLaren Structural Mesh and a Progressive Calibration System, each iron is individually optimized for its role in the set delivering seamless progression, controlled launch, consistent gapping and performance without compromise.
Series 1 uses McLaren’s Metal Injection Molding process to form proprietary metal blends with extreme precision. This allows for exact internal weighting, strong structural geometry and advanced material composition giving the iron a traditional Tour blade appearance with a much more sophisticated construction beneath the surface.
Inspired by the honeycomb structures used in McLaren supercars, the Structural Mesh maintains rigidity and face strength while removing mass from non-critical areas. That saved weight is redistributed to fine-tune CG placement, increase perimeter stability and raise MOI without sacrificing the compact, Tour-trusted profile.
Through precise CG control and internal tungsten weighting, every Series 1 iron is calibrated around its loft, mass and performance objective. No two irons are identical because every iron has a different job yet together they create a complete system for consistent distance gapping, controlled launch and reliable spin.
