Developed with more than 40 years of wedge expertise, RTZ 2 combines Cleveland’s most advanced materials and technologies with a refreshed range of Tour-inspired sole grinds. The result is a wedge designed to deliver consistent performance, reliable spin and the confidence to attack any lie.
At the heart of RTZ 2 is Cleveland’s proprietary Z-Alloy steel, engineered to be softer and less dense while maintaining the durability required for high-performance wedge play. Combined with ZipCore iQ, HydraZip and UltiZip, RTZ 2 is designed to improve feel, forgiveness, spin and consistency across the face — from full shots to delicate greenside finesse.
Choose from the MID, FULL, LOW, 588 and ADAPT sole grinds to match your swing, turf conditions and preferred shot shape. The ADAPT grind adds full-face grooves and a higher toe profile for players who regularly open the face and demand maximum greenside versatility.
RTZ 2 is built from Cleveland’s proprietary Z-Alloy steel, developed specifically to remove the design limitations of traditional wedge materials. Softer and less dense than conventional 8620 steel, Z-Alloy is engineered to deliver exceptional feel, forgiveness and consistency while maintaining the durability demanded by modern wedge play.
ZipCore iQ uses uniquely optimized lightweight hosel cores for each RTZ 2 loft and grind combination. By redistributing mass within the head, Cleveland can position the centre of gravity more effectively while increasing stability. The result is more reliable performance and improved consistency on both centred and off-centre strikes.
HydraZip combines face blasting and laser-milled lines to help maximize spin in wet conditions, while UltiZip uses sharper grooves to cut through grass and debris and deeper grooves to create space for moisture, sand and dirt to clear the impact zone. Together, the technologies help produce stronger, more consistent spin from the fairway, rough and bunker.
RTZ 2 is available in five distinct sole grinds, each designed around a different type of swing, turf condition and short-game shot. From the versatile MID grind to the open-face versatility of ADAPT, you can build your wedges around the way you actually play.
The all-around option, MID features a V-shaped sole with moderate trailing-edge relief for smooth turf interaction across a wide range of conditions. A versatile choice for most swing types, with 10° of bounce available from 46° through 60°.
The higher-bounce option for golfers who play softer conditions or have a steeper swing. With 12° of bounce, FULL provides added stability through the turf and extra confidence from bunkers and thick rough. Available in 54°, 56°, 58° and 60°.
Built for shotmakers who prefer more sole versatility and less bounce. Heel, toe and trailing-edge relief makes LOW particularly effective for open-face shots, firm conditions and shallow swing types. Available in 58°, 60° and 62° with 6° of bounce.
Inspired by Cleveland’s legendary 588 wedge, this grind combines increased bounce in the toe with reduced bounce in the heel for a versatile blend of stability and shot-making freedom. A strong choice for moderate to shallower swing types, available from 54° through 60° with 8° of bounce.
Designed for maximum greenside versatility, ADAPT combines full-face grooves with an added leading-edge bounce chamfer and relief across the heel, toe and trailing edge. Built for skilled players who frequently open the face and want precise control around the green. Available from 54° through 60° and in 64°, with 8° of bounce.
